I’ve Had Enough: No More Riding for Me

I know this might come as a shock to many of you, but, I’ve decided that I’m giving up motorcycling.
I’ve realized that everyone is right, motorcycles are dangerous, and like everyone insists on telling me I’m probably going to die out there. So as of today I’m quitting.
Sorry FrankenMonster… We’re through. I know it seemed like we would be together forever, but I should stop now while I still have one good leg.

Looking good in Fremont the other day. I like the new black cases.

The rides are just not what they used to be, I mean who I was I kidding, all that fresh air and open roads, who needs that? Not me! Those long rides down the coast just give me a sore butt, and all the green hills are really just bug infested. Twisty roads through the back country are probably best enjoyed from the safety of a slow moving air conditioned car.

I also need more time alone to think, I figure driving to work will give me another hour or maybe more by myself. I also often find myself at parties with no way to relate to people, this way I can talk about traffic a topic everyone likes to complain about. I will come across as a better person, because right now when people complain about it I can’t help to smirk a bit.

Happy April 1st.

About MotoCynic

I started riding motorcycles in 2006, and there is no going back. I rode more than 100,000 miles on a Ducati Monster, and now I'm putting miles on my Hyperstrada.

Ha nice one….admittedly, when I first saw the tag line I was like….WHAT!? But only for a couple of seconds 😉

  2. I cant believe your just giving up! I am attaching a link to a support group for motorcyclists who have left their motorcycle. I mean leaving ones two wheeled friend is a terrible thing. Just maybe this link will be able to put you in touch with your feelings of abandonment and neglect. Here is the ling http://WWW.LOST_MY_CYCLE_AND_HAVE_A_SAD_FACE_AND_CAN_I_HAVE_A_HUG.Com
