The Man Behind the Visor

I started riding motorcycles in June of 2006, a bit later than most (in my early 30’s), but I’ve been trying to make up for lost time by riding as much as I can. As of  June 2014 I’ve ridden 100,000 miles. Most of them on my Ducati Monster, but I put some on a BMW F800S before it tried to kill me.

I like to do a variety of riding. I commute as often as I can (weather permitting) which currently is a 58 mile round trip. Whenever I can I like to extend this for some great fun in the twisties and take the Long Way Home from work. I also enjoy touring on the Monster and some camping, sadly I only tend to get out once a year. In 2013 it went… badly, but in 2014 (Portland 2014) it was great. For more on why I ride I recently attempted to put in to words: Why I Ride.

I do have interests beyond motorcycles. I read quite a bit, (not only about motorcycles) and the Lovely Wife and I like to travel. If I’m lucky it involves traveling together on our motorcycles.

Last but not least I like to write. That’s what this blog is all about.

If your interested in knowing all about my Motorcycle fun you can always follow me on:

Starting with a new years resolution (2013) I will be updating this blog two to three times a week.

Feeling well enough to write a few words.

It was a good day, time to head back.
