Spring Trip: Cut Short By Worst Enemy

Another Epic Spring Trip has come and gone. This one has been plagued from the start by the torrential amount of rain we’ve been getting in California this winter. Road conditions and closures forced me to change the routes constantly, we didn’t even know exactly what roads we would be taking until the last minute, and decided most of our rides the morning of.

It was wet, very wet.

The rain hasn’t really let up either. In fact it’s raining now as I type this. We got a couple of clear days up north, but the weather won and we left two days early leaving before the rain got worse.

I’ll work up a day by day report later this week, just know that we are safely home and dry and despite the rain many amazing roads were ridden and good times were had.

About MotoCynic

I started riding motorcycles in 2006, and there is no going back. I've ridden more than 100,000 miles, most of it on a Ducati Monster, and despite setbacks and murderous BMW's I'm loving every mile.

  1. Good times get even better over the time it takes the gear to dry.

Glad you got a little time away. The rain didn’t win….it just altered your plans a little for an even better ride later on!
