Motorcycling Weather!

California had it’s first winter for the first time in years. I’m hoping there is more rain in store, but on the other hand I’m hoping that we’re done with the cold. Either way this last week has been an amazing respite from both. (Warning: I know that we don’t have real winters here in the California Bay Area so take the following with a grain of salt.)

The weather got up into the 70’s during the day and even better was in the low 50’s in the early morning on my way to work. So much nicer than it being in the mid 50’s high for my ride home that has had me freezing both ways on my commute.

Last Friday was like this as well so I took advantage of the nice weather and dry roads and took the long way home.

It's hard to take a bad picture up here.

It seems I’m not the only one who’s noticed the change in weather, I’ve seen more motorcyclists on the road this week than I have in the past couple of months! Let us hope they aren’t too rusty after having not have ridden in a while.

I love Spring. It’s almost worth the cold so that I appreciate it more.

About MotoCynic

I started riding motorcycles in 2006, and there is no going back. I've ridden more than 100,000 miles, most of it on a Ducati Monster, and despite setbacks and murderous BMW's I'm loving every mile.
