Garage Ideas: A Home For Gear

The Garage is continuing to be a back and forth process. Move a bunch of stuff around and unpack some stuff, then find a bunch of stuff that needs to be kept somewhere for a while. Over all though I’m slowly getting more space.

I’ve been thinking a lot about where I want to keep my gear in the garage. I want to make something that works for me, so I’ve been hunting all over for bits of inspiration. This has led me to do something I never thought I would do. I started a pinterest board. I know… I feel ashamed.

I thought that you all might have solutions that you use to store your gear, this is the time and the place to share them. Help me find the perfect way to keep my gear safely stowed in my garage.

Right now I’m making do with some shelves and some hooks, but I’m thinking of something a little… more awesome.

It's not bad actually, but it's not great. Plus there are a lot of jackets not here.

About MotoCynic

I started riding motorcycles in 2006, and there is no going back. I've ridden more than 100,000 miles, most of it on a Ducati Monster, and despite setbacks and murderous BMW's I'm loving every mile.

12 milk crates zip tied in two stacks of six is about as far as my storage creativity goes. I can personally attest to the fact that a full face helmet will fit in one.

  2. I dont leave mine in the garage, due to spiders…… yeah. Ikea wardrobe maybe?

I like the last picture – more of the closet style with room to hang multiple jackets, pants, etc. Put helmets on top of them on a shelf and then you’ll have room for everything!
