Dedicated

I’ve never felt so wimpy as I did Monday when I saw this guy.

In Jeans and on a Triumph Bonniville... that's style over comfort.

In Jeans and on a Triumph Bonniville… that’s style over comfort.

You sadly can’t tell from this picture but it’s raining pretty hard. I was walking to get myself some chai and I saw him zip past me and then get into this turn lane and wait for several minutes in the queue. All in the pouring rain.

Yes he’s a bad ass and he knows it.  He waits patiently for his turn, so he can get where ever he’s going and on with his day. He’s on a cool retro Triumph, he’s wearing a leather jacket, a matte black helmet, and jeans. Yes in the rain with a leather jacket and jeans. He clearly couldn’t care less about the world.

I so rarely choose to ride in the rain these days since I don’t have to, and often I feel weak for not doing so, and this guy… damn this guy… made me feel like I wasn’t even good enough to even think about riding a motorcycle.

About MotoCynic

I started riding motorcycles in 2006, and there is no going back. I rode more than 100,000 miles on a Ducati Monster, and now I'm putting miles on my Hyperstrada.

Maybe it’s all the transportation they have?

Maybe it’s what my dad always said, “no sense, no feelings” …

  3. Ha ha! I’ve seen some of those before. Honestly, I’ve enjoyed the moments that I’ve been caught in the rain. The fresh smell with the pine is something that you don’t get inside the cage!
