20+ Pounds Faster

If you have been reading this blog you know I’ve been actively working on slimming down. The motivations were many but I’ll be honest and say that making sure I did not get too heavy for my motorcycle gear was one of them. The Lovely Wife assured me that I would not be allowed to get all new gear if I got to big for it… so with that only upside removed I decided that I might as well get faster (er I mean lighter).
So far so good. When I’m writing this I’m about 25 pounds lighter than when I started in Mid October.  Although I’m thinner now than I’ve been in ages I’m not done yet. Hopefully soon I’ll be even closer to my goal of losing 30 lbs.
What does all this really mean?
It means I went from having 0.101 Hp per pound to 0.105 Hp per pound. Basically I’m faster (even if it’s only by fractions) and that is really all that matters.

About MotoCynic

I started riding motorcycles in 2006, and there is no going back. I've ridden more than 100,000 miles, most of it on a Ducati Monster, and despite setbacks and murderous BMW's I'm loving every mile.

I’ve been allowing myself one day a week where I don’t track calories as closely, reset my metabolism and eat a bit more of my favorites. Helps you from going crazy too.
