Bump Start

I took the Monster back to Menlo Park yesterday. After almost getting a ticket for having it parked on the street for longer than 72 hours, it was too much trouble to have here.

So we’re still not at the bottom of why it’s not starting easily. It’s running fine if idling a bit rough and threatening to die when cold. But the rides to and from San Bruno were incident free.

I did end up having to bump start it, sadly I had the kill switch off on my first attempt and my second sucked, so it took three to get it going. Going it got though, so I was quite pleased.
2nd gear for the record.

About MotoCynic

I started riding motorcycles in 2006, and there is no going back. I've ridden more than 100,000 miles, most of it on a Ducati Monster, and despite setbacks and murderous BMW's I'm loving every mile.
