New toys (Brand New Aerostich Roadcrafter)

Not really a toy, but I got my new Aerostitch suit yesterday. So of course I had to test it out today with a little ride 🙂
First impressions of the suit are good. (which is good given how much it costs) With all the alterations I had done it fits well, and even though I look … like I crap’d myself and have huge hips (extra padding cause hip pointers SUCK) I am very comfortable on the bike. I am hoping it gets less stiff with time. Another thing that’s obvious after an afternoon riding is that it is not a wind breaker. The gortex breaths, and so you have some airflow through it… which is nice in the sunnier weather, but I will need to wear something to block the wind in the mornings. The real test will be on Wednesday when I ride down to LA. I hope it breaks in just a little more before then, since I think it will be more comfortable with just a little more give. Well I am off to watch some racing 🙂

About MotoCynic

I started riding motorcycles in 2006, and there is no going back. I've ridden more than 100,000 miles, most of it on a Ducati Monster, and despite setbacks and murderous BMW's I'm loving every mile.
